A.R.E Weapons are an art-punk electro duo based out of New York who channel a mix of chaos and control.  Their sound recalls Suicide (they actually collaborated with Alan Vega recently) and the Velvet Underground, plus a little bit of The Misfits.  The track “Mr. Creature” off their new album Darker Blue, epitomizes the band's ability to combine infectious melodies with dissonance
