Some of the details of this review might be slightly incorrect. Others are complete fabrications.

If you don't like Journey, well, then, you don't like life. One of the greatest bands of all time releases their second collection of greatest hits, aptly titled Greatest Hits 2. When Neal Schon was but six years old, he had a vision that he would one day create a band with a revolving door of members, with him as its only constant, that would put forth the songs that Americans sing when they get drunk or do karaoke or play Rock Band and Guitar Hero. And when he was 19, he made that a reality.

By 1988 Schon's Journey had amassed such a collection of hit music that they decided to put out their first Greatest Hits. With 15 of their best songs, it became the soundtrack for a generation. And it was so good, they re-released this hits collection again in 2006, and they even added a new song just to prove how awesome they were.

Now, 23 years after their first hits collection, Journey unleashes a second hits collection with even more great music. Just check out this track list:

  1. "Stone In Love"
  2. "After The Fall"
  3. "Chain Reaction"
  4. "The Party's Over"
  5. "Escape"
  6. "Still They Ride"
  7. "Good Morning Girl"
  8. "Stay Awhile"
  9. "Suzanne"
  10. "Feeling That Way"
  11. "Anytime"
  12. "Walks Like A Lady"
  13. "Little Girl"
  14. "Just The Same Way"
  15. "Patiently"
  16. "When I Think Of You"
  17. "Mother, Father (Live in Houston, 1981)"

Now, you might be thinking, "I don't know many of those songs" and you'd probably be right. The first Greatest Hits contained all the greatest of their hits, the ones that are actually part of human DNA at this point, but there are still some pretty great songs here.

Either way, it's Journey. Journey! And you just can't go wrong with Journey. At least not with their hits collections. So if you are going to buy just one Journey album, you should definitely buy the first Greatest Hits, but if you already own it or are going to splurge and buy TWO albums, then you should buy Greatest Hits 2. Otherwise, you'd have to buy, like, ten albums to get all these songs. I suppose you could just buy the songs on iTunes or something, but then you are just contributing to the death of albums, and you shouldn't do that.

Anyway, before I go, I have just one more thing to say.

JOURNEY!
