In truth, I really liked Seahaven’s Winter Forever album.

Growing up I was a huge fan of Ska music from the first wave to the 2tone stuff to the third wave and beyond.

If you don't like Journey, well, then, you don't like life. One of the greatest bands of all time releases their second collection of greatest hits, aptly titled Greatest Hits 2.

It must be something in the water because the British have a way of creating good television and even better music.

I had the pleasure of reviewing Hollywood Undead’s last release, American Tragedy.

Like Moths To Flame is a band with experience from the Ohio area.

Ramsey Lewis and His Electric Band: Taking Another Look

C+

Now I’m no jazz cat, so this album didn’t really stand out to me. To my uncultured ears, this sounded like a record full of slow jazz jams.

Genre: Jazz

Release Date: September 20, 2011

Run For Cover Records: Mixed Signals Compilation

A-

I’ve covered a few compilations in my time and, to be honest, a few of them were a bit repetitive.

Reigns: The Window Blades

A-

I’m not really sure where to place the album The Window Blades by Reigns into other than a rock/mellow rock/alternative band.

Riverboat Gamblers: Smash/Grab

C+

Okay, first track. Is it me or does this dude sound like he wants to be Glenn Danzig really bad? According to the internet not many people want to be Danzig anymore, but, okay.

Genre: Punk, Rock

Reverse The Curse: Hither & Yon

A+

In almost any genre of music there are bands that transcend at what they do. Years down the line their music will live on generation after generation.

Robotic Lunch: Zangief

Being an independent band is not an easy feat. Time constraints, creative differences, budget problems…the list goes on and on.

Genre: Rock

Real Sounds of Chicago and Beyond

C+

I don’t know what the actual “real sound of Chicago” is but if it is anything like this CD ‘Real Sounds of Chicago and Beyond’ then Chicago is not hurting for music.

Genre: Blues, Jazz

Release Date: August 15, 2011

Rocknoceros: Colonel Purple Turtle

I’ve never given much thought to kids music. While my three girls were growing up I was tormented by Salty The Singing Song Book, Barney, and Banana’s In Pajamas.

Genre: Comedy, Kids

Release Date: July 16, 2011

Richard Smallwood: Promises

C

Being that this is gospel music, this is not at all catered to me. So I will try my best to view this subjectively.

Genre: Religious

Chances are you’ve probably heard at least one of Roxette’s popular hits such as “The Look,” “Listen to Your Heart,” or “It Must Have Been Love.” The
