Factoid:

Jimmy Fallon appears on the gag reel in a scene cut from the film. Latifah and Fallon appeared together in the film Taxi in 2004.

When Scott McKnight (Common) goes down in the game with a knee injury Leslie Wright, a physical therapist and die hard Nets fan, (Queen Latifah) gets the opportunity of a lifetime work with McKnight nursing his career ending injury. Without a doubt she likes him but he only has eyes for Morgan, Leslie’s sexy but all together scheming friend. Can this complicated love triangle simmer down to just two and more importantly will it be the two you’ll be sure to root for?

QUALITY:
There are some instances at the beginning of the film where Latifah is on a date in a dimly lit restaurant which gives the picture a bit of a white haze in the background and throws skin tone off a bit. That may have to do with the lighting in the scene but this particular segment of the film is pretty much the only part of the film that I took notice of any discrepancies in transfer. What makes this BD so spectacular is the way in which the film was shot. This film texture and style is simply amazing looking more like an action film, think Eraser or The Last Boy Scout, then a romcom. Detail is super fine and color is organic looking and extremely vivid made all the more natural by the film type. When you think Blu-Ray I have to say that Just Wright really captures the way in which Blu-Ray should look. Audio is pretty decent. Just Wright is a dialogue driven film but it manages to make the most of the films soundtrack and really delivers during games capturing the loudness of a professional basketball game from fans cheers to the basketball being played on the court.

BONUS FEATURES:
The One You Can’t Live Without (1080p) is really a making of featurette that talks about the films history. Interesting to hear what it would have been had it been shot in its original storyline and how it ended up being the film it is now.

Common On Fast Break (1080p) has Common talking about his love for Basketball and his history with the game.

When Amazing Happens (1080p). In The One You Can’t Live Without feature its talked about how if the production team couldn’t get the NBA involved the film would not have happened. Here we get a more in-depth look at the involvement of the NBA as pertains to the film.

Gag Reel (1080p). Probably not the most effective gag reel I’ve seen but really just a bonus on top of a bonus if you ask me.
