BOTTOM LINE:

The show runs like a mixture of Unsolved Mysteries and Mythbusters and if you are a fan of either, you are sure to enjoy.

Fact or Faked is about as close as you will ever get to a true reality show on SyFy Channel and is probably one of their highest quality original series to date.  It would actually fit in nicely over at Discovery Channel, History or TLC with their lineup of "fact finding" shows.

'Fact or Faked' is certainly a worthy cousin to 'Mythbusters' as they setout to disprove (or prove) the validity of supernatural videos (you know the ones, "lights over a desert", "a ghostly image runs across the camera", etc etc).  In the premiere episode, the team goes through a number of videos, deciding whether or not they are worthy of them investigating further (which has a very "TMZ" kind of feel to it) and then they decide on 2 and split up to investigate and run experiments much in the same way that the aforementioned 'Mythbusters' does.

The team investigates some lights over a mountain and a "ghost car" caught on a police camera during a chase.  They run a number of tests with the main goal in focus to discredit the video, not necessarily as a hoax, but as a misunderstanding of coincidence.  One team (the team covering the lights) is a little too quick to discount certain tests quickly in hopes to prove that the occurence is real.  The other team stays scientific and runs tests to their fullest, even going as far as to hire a stunt driver to conduct numerous theories of how a car could have driven through a fence with no sign of damage to the fence.

The show is certainly entertaining and will likey be a show that I will turn on here and there.  The show runs like a mixture of Unsolved Mysteries and Mythbusters and if you are a fan of either, you are sure to enjoy 'Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files'.

ghost in the cemetery in Indiana (episode 3) debunked

The "ghost" is a spider web. The spider is in the middle and there are little bugs caught in the web. We go walking or four wheeling at night in our woods and this is exactly what these webs look like when a light hits them.
